Ursula Berry

Program and Practice Manager

Hello! My name is Ursula and I am the company’s Program and Practice Manager (PPM). I began my career in education as a high school teacher after completing a Bachelor of Science degree and a Graduate Diploma of Education. I soon realised that the variety, flexibility and joy I found in Early Childhood Education was missing in high school education and I moved into the Early Childhood sector. I have worked in the Early Childhood industry for 15 years and am passionate and enthusiastic by nature. I am a strong advocate for the education and care of young children, and am constantly amazed by how capable young children are. Being an Educator is a hugely valuable and essential role, and provides a great mix of fun, learning and nurturing. I find it fulfilling and rewarding. It simply is the best job in the world!

In my role as PPM I work with our Educators providing support, advice and collaboration of ideas and strategies, to provide the best possible care and learning opportunities for the children in our services. As a qualified trainer/assessor, I also conduct our company’s in-service training sessions as required. I strive to motivate educators, support them to develop their skills and help them understand how important their job is in the development of young children. My ultimate goal is to ensure quality care is provided for all children in our centres where they can thrive, learn and grow, while enjoying the fun that is inherent in the early years of life.
